2 Days-3 Workouts

Tuesday:

Zumba was high cardio and Latin night which meant a lot of moving the hips.

Workout Breakdown:

  • 43 minutes
  • 114 avg bpm
  • 290 calories burned
  • 94% fat burn

TRX:

Supersets reigned supreme again. Your options were TRX/Kettlebells or Abs/Cardio. I started with the TRX/Kettlebells. 40 seconds of work & 10 seconds of rest. You did each exercise twice but switched off between breaks.

TRX:

  1. SA bicep curls
  2. SA row
  3. SA tricep
  4. SA (I can’t remember what it’s called. You extend yourself back and have one arm extended behind you & then pull up towards the strap.)

Kettlebells:

  1. SA Swing
  2. SA Press on One Leg
  3. Good Mornings
  4. Figure 8’s

After a one minute drink break our groups switched. I started with the Abs just because I had to mentally prepare for the Cardio. (More leg work)

Abs:

  1. Crunch with Legs Up
  2. Leg Lifts
  3. Windshield Wipers
  4. Beast Walk

Cardio:

  1. Tuck Jump
  2. Donkey Kicks
  3. Ski Jumps
  4. Crab Kicks

By the end of it my legs were shot again. The tuck jumps killed my ankles.

Today=PiYo

Tonight was a new workout. Every 3 weeks we learn a new PiYo workout. This one was a killer. Remember how I mentioned whatever muscle group we focus on Monday’s Boot Camp & Zumba we focus on the rest of week? Guess what muscle group was the focus again today? That’s right legs & abs! The first two sections-warm up and heat building weren’t too bad. The full body fusion & Core are the reason why I’m in pain tonight. My legs and abs hate me right now. There’s a part of the core workout called kick through where you hold plank, step up with one foot, bring your other leg up and kick through your arm. The twisted pike plank are really good for your obliques as well as pistol crunches. I doubt I’m going to be moving very well in the morning.

Tomorrow will be Kick Your Butt Thursday at Zumba & I already know it’s going to be a tiring one. Our instructor said she’s going to make up for the lost time from Tuesday’s class when her computer kept us from starting on time.
